Chasm was not treated well by his parents, shunned by his mother, and his father couldn't care less about him, so he became a bit angry at this world due to this. This anger he projected into his training though, especially his battle training as an apprentice, and he became a quick-witted, strong-minded individual.

He takes no crap from anyone, and is not afraid to speak his mind or talk back about certain thigs he deems wrong or unacceptable. His blunt nature makes it hard for him to form genuine connections though, and while he acts like this does not bother him, it does on the inside. 

He willingly wants to be apart of as much of the clans goings-on as he can, and goes out of his way to do what he can to help the clan thrive and prosper, even if that means sometimes working himself way over his physical limits. When this happens he gets uncharacteristically grumpy, mostly just due to lack of sleep and overwork. 

He enjoys it when he is able to make a genuine connection with someone, and will often keep these connections quiet and secret, not talking much about them to others because he is afraid of losing something he deems precious and sacred. This demeanor can sometimes backfire on him though, as he has a hard time keeping conversation with that cat he connected with if it is in a group setting and not just one on one. 

Chasm's outward exterior is usually stoic and solid, but he is one of those cats who can fire back a few of his own quips and teasing remarks, but this is a rare occasion so it seems unfitting on him, and usually leaves others a little flabbergasted. Chasm likes the reactions of others to those times, especially those of young cats.

He has a quiet type of love, something you will see in small actions and words but not something ever really disclosed outwardly.
