scorch isn't the smartest cat, he's a bit of an airhead and needs to be told things directly and slowly so he can understand. he's not good at reading social cues or underhand comments at all. everything is taken at face value for him.

though he is quite likable and can get along with just about anyone. he enjoys meeting new cats and wont stop talking until he gets to know them better. he enjoys it when they respond, and quick friendships are one of his greatest strength. 

there's not really a gray area with scorch, usually you're his friend unless you've done something terrible enough for him to realize you're not that great of a cat. then he lumps you into his "not good cats" category, which isn't particularly an enemy, but it's not a friend. 

scorch is a large cat and he knows this, and while he is friendly and open, he's not afraid to use his size for intimidation. he'd never go out of his way to hurt someone, but if it has to be done, scorch can do it.
